What is the maximum sample size that can fit into the cell?
27x46x2 (if sample insert is removed, sample thickness can go up to ca. 4 mm).
What is the required carrier gas flow?
20-40 mL/min (He, N2, Ar, and Zero Air were tested).
What is the typical blank?
Depending on sample type (VOC content) <1 to 10% of sample signal.
Can the sample insert be customized?
Yes, sample inserts can be custom designed.
What matrices can be used?
We successfully measured both liquids (e.g. milk, blood, mineral and vegetable oil) and organic (crustaceans, leaves, bone, hair, fingernails, bivalve shell, wood, sugar, etc.) and inorganic (stalagmites) solids.
